The N.S.S. unit of S S Dempo College of Commerce &
Economics, Altinho, Panaji Goa was recently inaugurated
in the precious hands of Dr. Ashvini Kumar, Asst Director,
National Institute of malaria Research Centre, New Delhi.
In his address
At the beginning, Principal Dr. Shrikant V Despande welcomed
the gathering. Vice Principal Prisca Braganza introduced
the chief guest. Prof Shashikant Morajkar Asst Programme
incharge highlighted on the N.S.S. activities proposed to
be conducted during this academic year. Prof Anand Naik
Panvelkar, Programme officer incharge spoke about the strength
of NSS during the academic year 2008-2009. The total no
433 volunteers enrolled themselves for NSS during this year.
Programme Officer Ms Santwana Sharma compared the programme
and finally programme Officer Dr Deepali Karmali proposed
the vote of thanks.
Dempo College organises a talk on ‘Inner Engineering’
S.S.Dempo College of Commerce & Economics organised
a talk on ‘Inner Engineering - the peak of well –being’
(a live process designed by Sadhguru, the founder of Isha
Foundation ) for F.Y. Bcom students on 12 August, 2008.
Miss Sue, the volunteer and teacher of the Foundation delivered
the talk. She mentioned in her lecture that this course
was designed to promote beneficial changes in one’s
chemistry and was the key to lead a meaningful, satisfactory
and stress free life, Ms Abha Kallan compered the programme
and Mr Brian D’souza proposed the vote of thanks.
